Adopting a unique researcher/author identifier is critical for showcasing your work, managing workflows, identifying potential collaborators, avoiding being misidentified and tracking your research for funding or grant applications.

These free tools will enable you to create a researcher profile:

• ORCID (Open Researcher & Contributor ID)
  Register a persistent digital identifier to help manage manuscript and grant submissions, create links to your professional activities and ensure your research is recognised.

• Publons (formerly ResearcherID) (Web of Science)
  Publons integrates with the Web of Science and is ORCID compliant.  All existing ResearcherID accounts and publication lists have been transferred to Publons.

• Google Scholar - My Citations
  Use My Citations to set up an account and collect all your publications in Google Scholar into your account. Profiles can be private or public. It is recommended that all citations be checked for accuracy.

• GRID (Global Research Identifier Database)
  Information about research organisations around the world including data scientists, developers and innovators within academic and commercial organizations. The GRID dataset addresses the problem of messy and inconsistent data on research institutions, ensuring that each entity is included correctly and only once.​

Searching clinical trials registers: guide for systematic reviewers - BMJ - 26 April 2022  

Systematic reviews play an important role in health research. They provide a high level summary of studies and can inform policy and practice relevant to a particular area of inquiry. Understanding review methodologies is useful for those who wish to undertake a systematic review, or just read one.
