LibKey

LibKey Nomad

LibKey Nomad makes it easy to access journal articles anywhere on the internet. It is a browser extension for Chrome that intelligently adds direct links to journal articles when browsing other websites like Wikipedia, PubMed and journal publishers.

Once activated, you’ll know Nomad is working when it starts adding download links in real-time to web pages that reference journal articles.

How to install LibKey Nomad

  • Click here or visit the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons and search for LibKey Nomad to view the extension details
  • Click the Add to Chrome button and confirm when prompted to install the extension:
  • In the next screen, you will be prompted to activate LibKey Nomad. Start by searching for Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group in the Select Institution box
  • LibKey Nomad will then confirm you have successfully chosen your institution
  • With the Nomad extension activated in Chrome, you will see direct links to relevant articles and PDFs load in real-time on websites such as Wikipedia with the following icon
  • Click the icon link and login with your HE credentials if asked. You will then have access to the content you’ve requested!
